For Sale: 1946 Mercury 2-Dr Coupe in Centennial, Colorado for sale in Littleton, CO
Vehicle Description 1946 Flathead V8 , Same as Ford Deluxe ,Mercs came with the extra Chrome.
Near complete restoration:
Chrome, Paint.
, Period correct Grey Cloth Interior LeBaron Bonney), DriveTrain / Motor- Trans,-Clutch, Brakes, New Radial WhiteWall tires, trunk needs Fabric kit installed / available.
Runs and Drives like a Dream, has never overheated , Speed , odometer cable has been replaced but probably needs more grease, Clock needs repair, a few dings, nothing major, Has had Full inspection(2 hrs) by local hot rod shop and the few defects were repaired ( brake and tail light sensor) Had the Local Flathead Master Mechanic check it out , drive it, he was impressed Excellent.
Most of work was done by Hot Rod shop in Omaha by prior owner with engine rebuild / brakes, I think he did the paint himself and I have been quoted a Complete buff out at $500.
Owner died and sat in his Son's Garage for a few years along with his Ferraris and Lambos.
He needed more space even with 2 lifts, Impressive Collection !! I've had many and this is one of the best, most all run hot, Not this one !! Drive it anywhere.
I cracked the drivers side window lower front corner, 2 inch ,when I slammed the door shut with the window down, but I drive with the window down as no turn signals.
Original 6 volt as is the rest of the car, ALL Original and drives like New !! I put a NEW Canvas water bag hanging off the front, as if your my age all cars had them back in the day , looks Great !! Took it to the yearly Ford Show, the only '46 Merc Coupe there , parked next to the '50 2 door, we drew lots of lookers :
))))).
