Facility Operations Specialist (Utilities Program Manager)

Responsible for the management coordination development, and implementation of policy for institution mechanical systems, and power plant operations and asphalt paving throughout the Bureau of Prisons.
Provides technical expertise in the design and application of approved mechanical systems and power plant operations/criteria Bureau-wide.
Responsible for evaluation of asphalt paving, site evaluation, and site preparation.
Responsible for evaluating training requirements and implementing new training programs that may be needed to fully implement the mechanical systems and power plant operations.
Assists the Chief of Facilities Operations and is assigned responsibility for planning, developing, analyzing, organizing, coordinating activities, improving effectiveness, and executing a variety of tasks related to management activities.
Develop and implement policy changes that may be required to mandate new operation procedures and report requirements.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
OR
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience reviewing and evaluating proposals from architects, engineers, and managers and advises on the adequacy and suitability for use in correctional facilities.
Experience assisting with the development and coordination of training programs for mechanical systems and power plant operations for Facility Managers, General Foremen, and Chief of Utilities, etc.
Experience in Facilities Operations and Facilities programs such as budget development and monitoring, planning and design for existing facilities and construction and maintenance activities.
Experience developing and implementing policy changes that may be required to mandate new operating procedures and reporting requirements.
If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
