Job Description :
The Special Programs team is seeking an energetic and proactive quality assurance engineer to join our group. This person will be responsible for providing program quality engineering over multiple areas within special programs. Our QA department focuses on quality standards as ISO9001 and AS9100.
The selected candidate will perform Quality Engineering roles and be responsibilities for Remote Sensing, Special Programs Line of Business by providing Program Quality Engineering oversight to the Denver (Waterton) Electronics Manufacturing Facility (EMF) Manufacturing Center.
In addition to the typical QE responsibilities this position will require completion of periodic Mandatory Inspections Points (MIPS) and test support for electronics manufacturing: to include, circuit card assemblies, wire harnesses, battery, microelectronics (RF/hybrids), and electronic box assemblies.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering).
Demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting engineering technical documentation - i.e. engineering drawings and specifications
Working knowledge of PR/MRB process
Knowledge of Manufacturing/Quality processes and documentation
Root Cause Analysis experience or training
Working knowledge of external quality standards such as ISO9001 and/or AS9100
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering briefings to both technical teams and touch labor personnel
Demonstrated ability to integrate into a team without losing the ability to hold the line, maintaining an independent role of process compliance
Strong Customer Relationship Skills
Must be able to work off shifts, overtime and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries
Desired skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Demonstrated experience / working knowledge of SAP/VECAMS (electronic process documentation)
Demonstrated electronics manufacturing experience
Quality Planning Certification
Experience in the Aerospace Industry is a plus, specifically in an Integration and Test environment or electronics manufacturing environment
Broad electronics experience to include working knowledge of Circuit Cards, Harnesses, Antennas, Power Products, Batteries, and RF/Microwave components
Understanding of Test Engineering and anomaly processing
Familiar with production manufacturing floor process/environment
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is desirable
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or better. Commitment to continuous process improvement
Experience in documentation and disposition of non-conforming products
Experience in establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvement
Experience with use of Statistical Process Control in a production environment
Experience in using Apollo Root Cause or Fault Tree Analysis methods
Current Certifications in solder inpsection, polymeric inspection, connector mate/demate, QA test support,
TS/SCI w/Poly CIearance (or ability to obtain)
