Job Description:
The Career Opportunity Rotation Experience (CORE) position offers a unique experience for employees to rotate through various business functions at United Launch Alliance. In the CORE program, the selected participants work in 4 different departments over 2 years. At the end of the 2 years, the participant will be placed into a permanent position within the company. The candidate must be prepared to spend one 6-month rotation at a ULA offsite location.
Responsibilities will include:
Analyzing data for specific tasks in support of various corporate objectives.
Working closely with multiple departments for the purpose of assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and corporate objectives.
Establishing and maintaining policies, procedures, and desktop instructions.
Performing evaluations of ULA processes, to include selected hands on experience, to identify the effectiveness in ULA business practices.
Promoting continuous improvement within and across various corporate business functions.
Evaluating efficiencies between various ULA departments in fulfilling corporate objectives for specific tasks.
Conducting special projects as directed, and performs other duties as required.
Performs economic research and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment. May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit, division or brand. Prepares financial plans, monitors implementation of financial policies, allowability of costs, prepares regular and special purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Communications, or Marketing from a traditional college or university. Online degree programs not accepted.
This is an entry level position. Candidates must have completed their degree between May 2012 - June 2014.
Candidate must have a cumulative GPA of 2.90 or greater on a 4.00 scale Experience with Word, Excel and Power Point.
Note: If candidate is selected for further screening, candidate must supply an unofficial college transcript upon the request of ULA (cumulative GPA and degree from current or most recent college must be validated). If a candidate is extended an offer and accepts the offer, ULA must receive an official college transcript from the college Registrar department validating the cumulative GPA and degree granted before the candidate starts at ULA.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or Marketing with relevant work experience.
Masters degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or Marketing with a GPA of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
Experience working in a team environment and independently.
Comfortable communicating across the organization and with customers.
Demonstrated leadership skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
