This individual is responsible for supporting company Windows and Linux servers and Linux along with proprietary applications that run on the infrastructure. This is a more Windows based role, but our client is looking for an individual that possesses the desire to support both operating systems (Windows and Linux) along with previous experience. Lastly, the individual is expected to learn and support the applications along with the hardware and operating system they run on.

Responsibilities
Provide technical supporttroubleshooting, software and hardware support, networking support, DHCP and DNS support, monitoring support, antivirus support, and createmaintain documented processes within the Window?s server space.
ArchitectingBuildingInstallationConfiguration of the servers and maintenance of the hardware and software and related infrastructure.
It is essential that the individual be comfortable leading performancetuning efforts and exhibit performance expertise with the applications and the operating systems to ensure better platform performance, availability, capacity needs, and scaling requirements.
The role heavily pertains to being a Windows System Administrator with the ability to contribute in the Linux space.
Our client deploys and supports enterprise applications with a national footprint and it is important that this individual has application support experience in this area.

Requirements
5
years of Windows Server Administration experience in a large highly available production environment (having a national footprint)
Experience and expertise administering Windows Server 2003 and 2008 (both 32bit and 64bit)
MCITP, MCM, MCA certifications strongly preferred
Active Directory experience and expertise
Microsoft SQL Server (2005,2008) installation and configuration experience/expertise
Understanding of TCP/IP principals and network protocols for configuration and for connectivity troubleshooting
Remote management principles and practices
Experience with load balancer products a plus
Storage Area Networks experience desired
IIS experience and expertise
Experience with security administration of firewalls and switches
Expertise with Windows OS tuning/performance for third party software performance
Experience and expertise with server and network monitoring tools
Linux System Administration (RedHat) in a multi-server environment
Web Servers (Apache, Tomcat)
Virtualization/cloud experience
SAN Administration and volume management experience
Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
Ability to architect new environments based on technical and business drivers
Desire to learn company applications and become a team lead for project/product work
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
