Intern - Orion Schematic Development & Verification with Security Clearance
Overview Stellar Solutions, a nationally recognized Great Place To Work, has exciting internship opportunities for university/college students to deliver innovative engineering solutions for non-profit, industry, and government partnersWe are a global systems engineering service provider solving the most complex issues that commercial and government clients face todayRole/Responsibilities/Qualifications Stellar Solutions seeks a motivated self-starting candidate to join our team on Orion to perform systems engineeringIn this role, you will become familiar with the Orion Human Spaceflight vehicle, research vehicle subsystems, support verification closures, and develop end-to-end system and component schematicsThe schematic task will involve collaboration with LM Certified Principal Engineers and NASA Subject Matter Experts to develop diagrams of components and connections between them throughout the vehicle at the Waterton Canyon facility in Littleton, ColoradoThe ideal candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in systems, mechanical, or electrical engineering and experience with Microsoft Office productsIn this role, you will:
o Develop component diagrams and schematics at a system, subsystem, and component levelo Research vehicle subsystemso Support verification closureo Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts at Lockheed Martin and NASA Required Qualificationso U.
SCitizenshipo Enrolled in an engineering discipline at an accredited college or university (electrical, mechanical, aerospace)o Have a minimum GPA of 3.
2o Experience with Microsoft Office productso Proven ability to investigate, identify, analyze, and solve problemso Excellent verbal and written communication skillso Highly reliable self-starter that can be counted on to complete assignmentso Collaborates easily with others and works well independently and in a team setting Desired skills and/or experienceo Systems engineering experience a plus The pay rate for summer intern positions is USD $28 per hourDeliverable(s) Weekly, quarterly, and end of internship project assessments and reporting of experiences and gaining knowledgeDiscover your dream job while delivering innovative solutions to advance space exploration and technical discoveryAs a member of our Civil team, you will be providing support to our government customersYou will contribute to some of our nation's most important challenges.
