The Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council (ACECC) is one of thirty-five Early Childhood Councils in the State of Colorado.
The local Early Childhood Councils provide an efficient, community-based infrastructure to support a state-wide early childhood system.
The Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council is composed of community leaders from early care and education, health, mental health and family support programs-working together toward comprehensive, systemic goals to meet the needs of providers, parents and children.
Position Description:
This part-time position is perfect for someone who is organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
They must possess a positive attitude, sense of humor, excellent communication skills, and broad understanding of office dynamics and the personalities that fuel a small organization to effectively operate.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide all general operational support and administrative services to the Executive Director and all (25+) program staff, to manage the office systems and to maintain the physical office space.

Principal
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director and ACECC team.
Keeps minutes of Leadership Team meetings.
Maintain systems to ensure that all internal operations are aligned with administrative best practices to ensure accountability.
Revise Operations Manual to include all forms and processes needed for each program.
Update Employee handbook as needed.
Provide Human Resources (HR) support.
Research policies and practices through working with Colorado's Employer's Council.
Prepare agendas, distribute packets and sets-up meeting room/space for all required meetings both at ACECC offices and with appropriate parties for outside meeting needs.
Attend required meetings and events, including those scheduled in the evenings and weekends - set-up and clean-up of meetings and events.
Take meeting minutes as needed.
Provide administrative support at all board meetings and functions.
Work closely with Director of Information Technology.
Works with Office Assistant and Bookkeeper to manage internal processes.
Work with vendors to meet office staff needs related to supplies and services.
Serves as receptionist by answering the door, all calls, directs calls to the staff and tracks calls and messages to ensure timely response.
Works with landlord to resolve building issues.
Provide friendly and courteous service to customers in person, by telephone, letter and email.
Respond to regularly occurring requests for information.
Act as a liaison with other agencies and organizations, including high-level staff and other internal or external staff and contracted personnel.
Handle confidential and non-routine information and policies when necessary.
Coordinate and manage recruitment of volunteers needed for office assistance and various events.
Type and design general correspondence, memos, presentation, charts, tables, graphs, work plans, and so forth, as directed.
Assist IT Director with website maintenance ensuring information is updated on a regular basis.
Maintain the office environment keeping all areas clean, clear, and well stocked at all times.
Organize, inventory, and manage the storage rooms.
Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends when events are scheduled.
Ordering and coordinating events and meetings to include materials, food, and supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
2-4 years' experience in administrative support, team leadership or team management role.
Ability to both work independently on several projects simultaneously and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.
Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of modern office terminology, procedures, equipment, and records management.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Demonstrate high level of diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion when dealing with donors, volunteers, and community professionals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (literacy, spelling, grammar) Physical and mechanical ability.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
Qualifications:
College coursework.
Previous experience in non-profit sector.
Website experience desirable.
Previous hospitality and/or food service experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
