Overview:
Put your organizational and leadership skills to work to grow your career at Big Tool Box and Highlands Garden Center! We are looking to add an Office Administrator with a background in customer service and cash-handling at each of our store locations.

Minimum education requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum requirements:
Minimum 1-year experience in office management and/or administration.
Minimum 1-year supervisory experience.
Minimum 1-year experience with cashiering and/or cash-handling.
Experience with MS Office Suite, Paycom, and Epicor is preferred.
Saturday availability is required.

Essential Job Functions:
Oversee, maintain, and support all clerical and administrative duties to ensure the office is running smoothly.
Maintain and manage office equipment, telephone and internet service, and office supplies.
Pick-up and sort incoming mail & deliveries and manage outgoing mail.
Maintain purchasing as it pertains to office supplies, computer needs, employee uniforms, and the occasional staff appreciation lunch.
Partner with advertising and Company President to execute on marketing projects.
Assist Store Management in responding to customer surveys and inquiries, escalating as needed.
Train and oversee cashiers with making cash deposits.
Work with Store Management and Bookkeeping to track, research, and follow-up on cash over/short discrepancies.
Prepare daily cash deposits and drop them off at the bank.
Prepare and pick up change orders to maintain adequate cash levels in the safe.
Partner with Store Management to oversee facility maintenance/repairs.
This may require sourcing quotes from multiple vendors.
Initiate, coordinate, and oversee IT requests.
Gain and maintain knowledge of store products; be able to direct customers and new employees to items.
Recruit, interview, and train cashiers for all departments.
Write, publish, and post cashier schedules a minimum of two weeks out to ensure that staffing levels meet the needs of the business.
Monitor cashier timecards, including approving and denying time off requests.
Lead daily huddles with cashiers to maintain customer service standards, and to communicate information regarding promos, coupons, and seasonal merchandise.
Respond to radio calls and serve as backup cashier as needed.

Work Environment:
Work typically takes place indoors but will require work outdoors with cashiers during the busy season (April-July).
Ability to stand for 6-8 hours.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs, climb a ladder, and lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
This position requires open availability from 6:
30am-7:
30pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
