00/yrPosition Introduction/Key DutiesCimarron is seeking an Ordnance Responsible Electronics Engineer to support the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program in Littleton, CO.
The CPS program designs, develops, builds, and tests an integrated hypersonic weapon system capable of launching from surface ships and submarines with the ability to conduct a precision strike at Mach 5
speeds.
This position supports a 9 X 80 work schedule (i.
e.
every other Friday off) and is a hybrid role that will allow for some remote work (i.
e.
work from home a few days a week)!Key Duties:
Lead the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art hypersonic avionics product in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment.
Perform as a lead certified principal engineer for the development of flight initiation and termination avionics.
Lead design reviews, Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) hardware discrepancy decisions, and Failure Review Board (FRB) as required.
Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting.
Review anomalies and generate presentations for Product Certification.
Support system-level testing.
Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.

Active Secret Clearance.
9 or more years of relevant experience.
Experience working as a Certified Principal Engineer/Product Lead of analog and digital electronics, or in a similar capacity.
Experience working with subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers.
Familiarity with failure investigation (root cause analysis, Failure Review Boards, etc.
).
Experience assisting with as-built pedigree and quality documentation reviews.
Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
Experience in different phases of the aerospace electronic component development cycle.
Experience with the design and/or analysis of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
Experience with high-reliability electronics through the product lifecycle.
Previous Product Engineer or equivalent experience.
Previous technical leadership experience.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
Familiar with ignition system safety architectures and top-level designs (i.
e.
, designing meeting MIL-DTL-1316 and 1901).
Experience with most current fuzing design requirements.
Experience with government fuzing safety boards.
Experience or willingness to lead teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
Familiarization with launch vehicle or missile initiation architectures or flight termination systems.
Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.
Experience in Electronics Worst Case Analysis on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designs.
Experience conducting failure analysis on Electronics (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
Demonstrated ability to identify Root Cause and effectively perform Corrective Actions.
Technical experience in the full life cycle development of hardware, including design, integration, and testing.
Previous Responsible Product Engineer experience.
Experience with modeling and analysis tools such as OrCAD, PSPICE, and/or Saber.
Experience using CAD tools such as Creo.
Strong communication skills, and experience presenting to peers, leadership, and/or customers.
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills.
Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
