The U.
S.
Navy is bringing the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) weapon system to the Zumwalt-class destroyer program.
These ships will be the first conventional sea-based hypersonic strike capability for the United States.
This position supports a 9 X 80 work schedule (i.
e.
every other Friday off).
This is an onsite position.
Key Duties:
Define and lead Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and testing.
Lead the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.
Coordinate with other disciplines, such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and EducationRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Active Secret Clearance.
14 or more years of relevant experience.
Experience with Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) parts or a related field of study.
Formal coursework, training, experience, and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits.
Established technical expert in EEE parts for use in aerospace applications.
Experience establishing and implementing technical PMP requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.
).
Knowledge of the design, manufacturing, materials, and processes for EEE parts.
Ability to work independently and multi-task with demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.
).
Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEE parts and ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers.
Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.
Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency.
Experience as program-level PMP Control Board Chairperson.
Understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA)/EEE parts derating and end-of-life requirements.
