This leadership role is designed to lead, manage, and support a team of 7 personnel within the Mission Engineering and Operations (MEO) team Payloads group. Your team is responsible for the following:
o Flight product development and future development o Creating and implementing Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) o Supporting the readiness events for major program mission achievements o Identifying and troubleshooting spacecraft Payload issues with deployed systems, anomaly response and resolution support o Supporting root-cause investigations o Long-term trending support and tools The important work of this group assures alignment and involvement with company engineering related initiatives, inclusive of common products, processes and design techniques. We are looking for a leader who has mission and operations experience in a similar setting, demonstrates leadership skills, and a strong desire to help the greater team be successful. Our new team leader is someone who demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to varying levels of employees, management, and customers. You should be able to speak to your ability to multi-task, and especially to perform multiple assignments while meeting competing deadlines. You will have a responsibility to work on-call and occasionally work off-shift hours, responding to program needs. Then this MEO leadership position might be for you. You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 9 - 15 years of professional experience, or a Masters and 7 - 13 years. Qualifications:
o At least 2 years of Space mission operations experience including one or more of the following:
- Real-time flight operations - Anomaly resolution - System performance analysis o Leadership experience or a technical team as team lead, project lead, or formal leader o US Citizenship with the active TS/SCI Clearance Desired Skills:
o Experience with cost management, project planning and logistics o Experience writing Basis of Estimate (BOEs) and other proposal related goals o Experience with subsystem trending tools and metrics o Experience with 24x7 operations support, to include recall of key personnel o Experience with spacecraft anomaly response/resolution o Familiar with software development processes and standard methodologies o Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership experience with diverse teams o Strong collaboration/team building skills
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
