The Enterprise Flight Software (EFSW) Product Line supports several major initiatives by providing qualified embedded flight software to meet program needs out of a central organization. Ideal candidates for the organization are self-starters with a drive for continuous process improvement. The EFSW organization is looking for an Embedded Flight Software Engineer to assist in the full life-cycle development of our spacecraft flight software solutions. We are an Agile team employing the Scrum methodology to spec, design, code, and test embedded flight software for a variety of space flight vehicles and missions. Embedded Software Engineers on the team are expected to perform with minimal direction and are expected to take ownership of problems and drive solutions. Creative problem solving and enthusiasm for software development are a requisite. The majority of the software is written for embedded Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS), so an understanding of RTOS concepts is required and a familiarity with VxWorks, Green Hills INTEGRITY, RTEMS, and/or FreeRTOS is highly desired. Basic
Qualifications:
o 4 year college degree in software engineering, computer science/engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree o C/C+
o Embedded Software Development experience Desired Skills:
o JIRA experience o GitLab experience o Agile Scrum software development experience o DevSecOps experience
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
